The Opportunity:

The Sr. Software Engineer (Tier 3 Support) provides maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements and production support to existing systems and applications. Additionally, as a Sr. Engineer on the team, you will be able to provide technical advice and training to other team members and support engineering lead tasks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support for software troubleshooting, enhancements and development objectives, following engineering best practices and policies.
  • Perform technical research tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with rules for all deployed software.
  • Provide technical mentoring to other team members, if necessary.
  • Write code in accordance with architecture specifications.
  • Write database scripts as needed.
  • Use open source tools to facilitate engineering tasks.
  • Collaborate in the effort to estimate aspects of engineering assignments.
  • Assume leadership duties in the absence of the Engineering Lead or when asked to support other initiatives.

Requisitos

Skills we need:

  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software Engineering or similar.
  • Intermediate/Advanced English level.
  • About 5 or more years working as a developer in back-end services and end-user applications.
  • Solid experience providing software troubleshooting and enhancements to existing system and applications.
  • Solid experience with Java 8 and JavaScript.
  • Ideal experience with PL/SQL and/or SQL ANSI.
  • Experience with Spring (and all its suites) and Hibernate.
  • Experience with services and microservices.
  • Experience with relational (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Docker, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
  • Knowledge of other engineering tools like Git, Bitbucket, SonarQube or Jira.
  • Familiar with Enterprise and Design Patterns.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.
